Common questions

Where is Trinity located?

We’re at 511 N Elm St in Grand Island, Nebraska. Click here for directions, a map and parking locations!

What should I wear?

You can wear whatever makes you feel the most comfortable during worship. Jeans are just fine, and so are dresses and dress pants. You’ll fit right in, so please come as you are.

What is worship experience like?

Trinity offers different hour-long worship services so there’s likely one to fit your desires for a worship experience!

  • Traditional Worship: Saturdays at 6:00 p.m. in Gollaher Chapel. Our traditional service offers an opportunity for personal reflection and worship. You can expect a sermon, liturgy readings, and hymns out of the United Methodist hymnal, which is accompanied by our organist. This is a more quiet and cozy service. Our latest addition is a screen to this service.
  • Traditional or CrossPoint Worship: Sundays at 9:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary. Our Traditional worship service features the Chancel Choir, our traditional church choir. CrossPoint Worship’s music is led by our CrossPoint praise band, which features vocals, guitars, drums, bass, and keys. Both groups trade a Sunday each week. Words are on the screen so you can sing along if you would like.
Where can my kids go?

Children are joyfully welcome in our worship service! If you need a short break, there is a play table in The Gathering Place. Nursery care is available in the basement and is designed for ages 0 to 5. Growing In Faith Together classes are after worship at 10:30 a.m. in the basement. Click here for more information.

What will I do when I get there?

There are greeters who can help direct you to the sanctuary and there are ushers who can answer questions about the church (the greeters and ushers will help you and your family to the best of their abilities!). There are sign in sheets on a welcoming table where we invite you to sign in and provide a phone number. If you’re a visitor, one of our pastors will give you a follow up call in the following week(s).

Overall, please participate in a way you feel comfortable. We hope you’ll visit us again, but in the meantime, feel free to call the church office during the week if you have any questions about Trinity UMC in Grand Island, NE.
