All Saints Day is Sunday, November 7. We will honor our loved ones Saturday, November 6 during the 6 p.m. service and on Sunday, November 7 during the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. worship services.
Loved ones are invited to light a candle as we honor those who have gone to their heavenly home. We will present their picture in a PowerPoint presentation. We express our sympathy as you grieve the loss of your loved one(s). Please let us know how we can support you in this time of loss, especially as we approach the holidays. The pastors are available to meet with you and offer supportive care. May God offer you grace, peace, and strength as you mourn, and face the future one day at a time. May God’s grace sustain and comfort you throughout all your days and your nights.

If you’d like to send us a picture of your loved one(s), even if they were not a member at Trinity UMC, we would be happy to include them in the PowerPoint presentation and honor them. Please mail a picture of your loved one with their name to 511 North Elm Street, GI NE 68801. You can also email a digital copy to publications@trinityumcgi.org

Please send pictures to the office by Monday, November 1.

Prairie Rivers District – Advanced Class | Lay Servant Ministries – Course Opportunity | Polity, Practice, and the Mission of the United Methodist Church

As Laity, our ministry flows from a commitment to Christ’s outreaching love and the knowledge that we are called to be missional and carry out the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20). The “local church is the most significant arena” (BOD 120), in which people will come to know Jesus Christ and the U.M.C. will fulfill its mission.

Lay Servant Ministries include equipping sessions that are intended to guide participants through thoughtful reflection on the areas of leading, caring, communicating. So that our “witness, leadership, and service inspires others to a deeper commitment to Christ and more effective discipleship (BOD 266).

The silent auction will begin Saturday evening, December 4—continuing throughout the week and ending at 11:00 a.m. on December 12. Baskets can be brought to the church November 28 through December 2nd. If you need a basket, there will be a few available for your use in the Gathering Place.
