Join us for a reception welcoming Rev. Kalaba and his family on Sunday, July 21 at 2 p.m. in Miller Hall.
Back2School Bash is an event to help children get prepared to return to school. It is being held this year at the Nebraska building at Fonner Park on July 25 from 2-6 pm. Free physicals for those going into kindergarten and middle school will be offered with immunizations. Free dental exams and eye exams will be available. Free haircuts will be given to children. In addition, free backpacks will be distributed.
And our church will again give out water bottles. Last year we had 200 bottles that were gone in 40 minutes. This year we have 800 bottles. The VBS collection is being used to help pay for the bottles. We will need your help between services on July 21 to put stickers on them so plan to stay after 9:30 service and come early for 11:00 service. Mark your calendar for July 21!
Two years ago, we held a combined worship service downtown on the Plaza to celebrate the total eclipse. Last year it rained us out and our special service was held at the church. We are praying for a nice day on August 4th. This combined worship will begin at 9 am. We are trying to beat the heat.
Pastor Kelly will start a drumming circle at 8:30 am. PLEASE BRING YOUR LAWN CHAIRS. We will transport enough chairs for the drumming circle only. We will need volunteers to help transport equipment to and from the church that morning. There will be cookies and bottles of water for fellowship prior to the service. And we will partake of communion. MARK YOUR CALENDAR-One worship that day-August 4-9 am-Downtown on the Plaza!
