This first week has been so wonderful, I have met so many people who have shown the love of Christ through their actions. One interesting thing that I was introduced to my first day in the office was the office ‘donut’. What is the office donut you might ask? It is a donut that has been present since Christmas time and now is like a solid rock, the staff are unable to throw it out. This donut is no longer to be used as it was intended for: TO EAT. I would not want to eat this donut at this time, in fact, it is not at all appealing. I knew when I was shown this donut and shared the story of it that a sermon or devotion was brewing in my mind. It had me thinking hard for I believe that in most circumstances there is a sermon or a devotion that can be written. So, as with many things when we don’t use our gifts as God has equipped us with, we can grow stale and as hard as a rock. Our gifts can become lost to the glory of others. God want us to enjoy the sweetness of life and use the gifts that he has given us and grow those gifts so that others may experience them and be blessed. My prayer is that we will all use the gifts God has given us and not let our gifts grow stale and hard.
