Homecoming 2024
Next Sunday, September 15, Trinity will host its 4th annual Homecoming Celebration after worship. In addition to the usual lunch and announcement of homecoming “royalty,” we will dedicate the newly remodeled Miller Hall kitchen. This year the Homecoming Celebration is hosted by United Women In Faith, the TUMC Trustees, and the Family Ministry Team.
What, exactly, is the purpose of this event? Homecoming is a time of returning our focus to Christ, with old and new small groups starting up, a new worship schedule launching, and children and youth returning to Sunday School and ZONE. Homecoming is also a time to celebrate our victories, such as the kitchen remodel, new playground fence, and a 56% increase in VBS attendance! Volunteers are profusely thanked at homecoming, with two long-term, hard-working people chosen as “royalty” from our many faithful volunteers. Finally, Homecoming is an opportunity for fellowship as a whole congregation, before we split into two worshiping bodies again.
