SMALL THINGS CAN BRIGHTEN A DAY! How true this statement is.   A few weeks ago I mentioned a need for blankets, just in case someone was camped out in need.   I received some blankets in the office.  (Thank you to those who dropped off blankets) I decided to put one in my trunk, just in case I saw someone in need.  As I was driving home from the Church, I saw a man huddled at a park on the way home.  Many times I have seen homeless people gathered in this park area.  I decided to see if he was in need of a blanket. I walked to the older gentleman and told him who I am and asked him if he could use a blanket as it was cold outside.   Tears filled his eyes, he was so grateful to receive such a small item as a blanket.   This small little thing brightened this man’s day, and it also brightened my day. There are so many people in Grand Island that could benefit with just a small little thing to lift their spirits.  A blanket, a warm meal, a kind hello just to name a few ideas.   I want to encourage all of you to keep your eyes open to who you might be able to encourage. – Blessings, Rev.
