As we enter July, the 2025 – 2026 United Methodist year starts. This is the next chapter for Trinity. Let’s make this new chapter a bright and wonderful time. This new start shall be a memorable one. “For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11) As with all pastors, we do not know how long they are with us. Take the time to cherish each moment they have with you. “Yet you do not even know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.” (James 4:14) Do not take uncertainty as a burden. God is here for us all. “Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.” (Psalm 55:22) To some, this change is minor. To others, major. Give everyone a fair chance to experience our new pastor. Pastor Shella needs a good welcome from everyone to get a good foot in the right direction here at Trinity. “Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.” (Romans 15:7)
