Recent events to occur at the church office may seem to be a major setback. The power was out shortly, the internet was down multiple days, and all people were a panic. Not at the disco, but during normal church office operations. Many may have the thought that this was time that God was missing; “this could not happen with him.” There is a simple truth that applies here that one needs to remember: “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God; I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.” – Isaiah 41:10 (NRSVUE). The power was off a brief five minutes, the internet was found elsewhere (during the writing of this), and many people have been calmed. He is the power that makes us go each day. Think about the olden days of years past. What did we do without this technology? Typewriters is the answer. Looking at bulletins of area churches and even ours gives a window in to the past lives here. It is only human that tiny mistakes are made. Most errors caught while reading, is of spelling. With God, there are no mistakes. He is a reminder that everybody should spread the joy of His love, always. Not just the birth of His son. Given that Jesus took our sins, why do some people feel the need to spread negativity? Take that mindset with you. Invite friends to Wednesday Nights At Trinity. Be joyful on Sundays. Walk the path the God gives us all.
