Familiar with “Stuff the bus?” On October 6-10 I will be journeying to join 17 other women to serve at Midwest Mission Distribution Center (MMDC) in Pawnee, IL. I will take “second life” items with me to contribute to the ongoing needs that MMDC continues to meet “around the world and around the corner.” Thanks to all of you who have donated items. I look forward to “stuffing” my Sante Fe with as many supplies as possible. Items are trickling in. However, I have lots of room left! The focus for this trip is medical supplies such as canes, crutches, slings, boots, foldable walkers etc. However, other items are welcomed. Tools: Non-electric tools (new or used) and tarps. Often needed are heavy duty rakes, shovels, and brooms. Sewing machines and supplies: bobbins, bobbin cases, needle threaders, pin cushions, safety pins, seam rippers, thimbles, tape measures and straight pins, thread and cotton or flannel fabric (1 yd. minimum). So, take a scavenger hunt through your homes and garages to see what you find! Bring them to church by Friday, October 3 or give me a call and I can pick up your contributions.
