Lord's Prayer #895

Prayer of Confession: (Unison)

O God, you are our refuge in times of trouble, our shelter in times of rain. When we forget to be refuge for others in trouble, forgive us. Turn our gaze to the poor Lazaruses of our world, for we would rather look away. Guide our lives to be places of shelter for others, as you have been shelter for us. Strengthen us with your grace, that we may offer our mercy and help to the needy, as you have offered your mercy and help to us. Draw us back into the protection of your forgiveness and grace. In hope and gratitude, we pray. Amen.

Words of Assurance:

Because we have called, God has answered. We are delivered and saved by God’s love.

Prayer of Dedication: (UNISON)

Generous God, open our hearts and our wallets to be as generous with others as you are with us. Bless the gifts we offer to you, that they may be gifts of generous love for others. May we be generous givers of our time, talent, treasure, and service, that others may find in us generous and loving friends. In gratitude and joy, we pray. Amen.
